Probably the smallest hawker centre with 18 stalls. Accessibility may be an issue as it is not near MRT. But it is a popular hawker centre that serves niche market: the residents living around here.
The fish soup stall has a long queue: no wonder, the soup is tasty. Fish ball noodle costs only $3. Tried the $5 fish soup with $0.50 rice.
Despite its small size, this hawker centre has a dessert stall with both joy and cold choices.
Guess what I finally found Kway Chap here in this hawker centre that's still in the past(rent wise). It's difficult to keep prices low at Clementi Ave 3 or 5 (the biggest one) which are selling more up market food. There's a Sheng Siong and FairPrice nearby. It's a self contained neighbourhood centre which has grown a lot in recent years.
There's a saying here : There's food every 100 metres at Clementi whether it's hawker centre or kopitiam. Clementi isn't heavily populated but the transient population like students at nearby university and polytechnics is the reason there's so much food!
A few halal stalls selling delicious foods and drinks. Teh tarik, kopi, currypuff (with chili sauce) etc. from the Indian drink stall are superb. Nasi padang, mee rebus, nasi lemak etc. from the malay stall are awesome. Indian rojak, prata, mee goreng etc. are all power!
There is something about this carrot cake that makes it taste different from others. I hope the picture does it justice. Maybe the right heat of the pan. Maybe the craft. The eggs are fried to the right texture and taste(sometimes with wok hey), the cake itself retains some taste of rice flour, and the preserved radish gives an extra dash of savoury. This auntie has been frying for close to 40 years now and it is always sold out before 9.30am! #carrotcake
It's a small hawker with vast variety of food. Enjoyed the Indian rojak, biryani, braised duck, kuey chap, fishball noodle and tauhu goreng👍 …
Simple place for a quick meal. Do note that some stalls only cover lunch time and others, dinner time.
Not as crowded as the neighboring BLK 448 market/Hawker Centre. Easily got a seat and table to eat. Good prices are reasonable. Only a few stalls sell better foodie chicken rice/porridge, kway chap, Indian rojak and roti plata

Decided to try the Hershey's Ice Kacang from the dessert booth.
Verdict:
The chocolate bits weren't as many nor colorful like the pictures I saw on the internet.
The taste of the Hersheys are cancelled by the ice kacang and vice versa. So I could not taste the chocolate bits nor the ice kacang flavor.
This item costs $3. But the fat woman tried to scan $4 off my freshly printed stack of CDC vouchers. Luckily I stopped her in time.
So stick to the original or normal ice kacang.
Today 25 July 2023, I was buying mee rubus from the stall opposite ntuc
An Indian female cleaner came and deposited the utensils besidee me with a loud crash.
What a complete and utter stupid idiot.
Mee rubus portion shrank compared to the earlier part of 2022.
Still taste good.
Few stalls and good choices of food.
if you like hawker food there're quite a few stalls served good hawker food ... peak hours quite hard to get seat ... sad to say that the atmosphere needed to be improved a little ... 😊 …
